September is all about making everyday work easier. From a more powerful homepage to new roster scheduling and expense management tools, we’ve introduced updates that help employees get things done faster and give admins better visibility and control.

Improvements
A More Useful Homepage
Previously, the homepage was focused primarily on our AI assistant, Lumi. While Lumi is great for answering questions and automating tasks, we wanted to make the homepage more useful for your day-to-day work. With the new homepage, you can now:
Take Quick Actions: Need a day off? You can now request time off directly from the homepage without having to navigate to the app. With customizable widgets, you can also choose the actions and information you want to have readily available on the homepage, making everyday tasks faster and easier to access.
See Quick Insights at a Glance: Admins and HR managers can now get a quick view of important information from the homepage. From time-off balances and expiring documents to who's out and upcoming birthdays, everything you need to stay informed is right at your fingertips.
A Better Document Upload Experience
We’ve improved the document upload experience for both company and employee documents, with clearer previews and effective dates, giving users a smoother way to manage uploaded files.
Roster Scheduling & Management
Available under our Attendance Tracking module, Roster Scheduling & Management makes it easier for admins to plan, organize, and manage employee work schedules.
Plan and organize work schedules: Create and manage rosters across a specific date range, with filters for employees, crews, and roster status.
Manage shifts with the Roster Board: Get an at-a-glance view of employee shifts, time off, and unscheduled days to make it easier to review and manage team coverage.
New Apps
Expense Management
Our new Expense Management app makes it easy for employees to record work-related expenses in just a few clicks.
Adding Expenses: Employees can either enter expense details manually or simply drag and drop a receipt from their device. X-HR automatically reads the information from the receipt and fills in the details, so there’s no need to enter everything manually.
Multiple Upload: Upload multiple receipts at once, making it faster and easier to record several expenses without having to process each receipt individually.
Employee Requests
In X-HR, every process revolves around your people, and every employee deserves clarity on exactly where to go for help. With the new Employee Request app, team members can easily submit a ticket to tell HR exactly what they need. We support:
Ready-to-use templates: common requests out of the box, including: Benefits Requests, Employment Certificates, General HR Requests, Payroll Questions, Personal Information Changes, Salary Certificates, and Visa / Immigration Support.
Customizable for your business: Admins can also create their own custom request types to fit the specific needs of your company or organization.
We also added:
More Flexible Payroll: Custom variables in payroll pay components give you more flexibility to set up payroll based on your company’s specific needs, making payroll less rigid and easier to adapt.
A Simpler Document Request Flow: We’ve also improved the process for requesting employees to upload documents, making it easier to send requests and manage the documents you need from your team.
